12 March 2021 - Consumers can go out together again in the spring. A unique opening in April offers families and friends the chance to experience the Holiday Park Slagharen in a special way, starting with the Easter weekend Despite the uncertain times, including during the past winter months, the team has developed plans to be ready for a new season with various highlights.
General Manager - Dave Storm - speaks out: 'Just like in 2020, the pre-planned opening date for 2021 did not seem to be a given. Despite the harsh lockdown that is in place until the end of March, we are noticing a broad interest to go out among consumers. And with the separate opening of the holiday park gate, we are responding to this need. Of course, we will use the opening to celebrate with our guests and staff that spring is in full swing and that the holiday park opens its gates again, a highlight in itself'.
If guests book a stay at Holiday Park Slagharen, this will - for the time being - be without access to the attraction park, which will open on a later date. But the prices are adjusted accordingly, and guests will receive a family ticket for a date when the attraction park is open again. Those who want to get away for a weekend - with their family or household - can enjoy various holiday homes in the beautiful nature of the Vechtdal at Holiday Park Slagharen. The holiday park itself is spacious with lots of green and nice playgrounds for children to play. In addition, the park offers an adapted entertainment programme, which will not be without the well-known mascots Randy & Rosie.
The Holiday Park Slagharen will, of course, continue to follow the national guidelines and will take the appropriate measures. Although the restaurants are closed for the holiday park's guests, breakfast, gourmet dishes or, for example, a drinks box will be delivered to the holiday home. Guests will also have the option of take-away dishes, personal shoppers and the so-called click & delivery service.
From the Holiday Park Slagharen, guests can walk straight into the Vechtdal nature reserve.
Slagharen is located next to the green Vechtdal, where there is plenty to do, in northeast Overrijsel. The Vechtdal is a natural, green and hospitable environment, perfect if you want to relax, with a variety of tours for cycling, hiking, mountain biking or sailing on the Vecht.
Although the Attraction Park Slagharen is currently closed, the team is still preparing and is ready to reopen as soon as the government allows the opening of attraction parks in the Netherlands. When guests book a start at the Holiday Park Slagharen between now and 22 April, admission to the attraction park is not yet included. For now, the management hopes to open the attraction park at the start of the next school holidays. Preferably earlier, of course, as it is considered safe to do so with all the measures taken.
The 'Safe Outings' protocol, which was drawn up last year together with the industry associations Club van Elf and the Dutch Zoo Federation, will also be in force in 2021. The park has worked towards a new normal, in which having fun remains paramount, but the extra measures have been integrated into operational management.
To stimulate guests to book a holiday in the Netherlands, Slagharen offers flexible rebooking. This means that guests can start their preparations carefree In the unlikely event of a coronavirus outbreak, the reservation of the stay can be changed.
